MOREOVER

with Jennifer Walshe, Jon Leidecker

  • Concert
Single tickets only

With the second performance night, Jennifer Walshe and Jon Leidecker close their investigations on the paradoxes of scale with the epilogue MOREOVER. The closing event of transmediale 2023 presents an intimate music performance that explores the idiosyncrasies of machine listening and digital sound, while surfing the outer reaches of online culture. Walshe and Leidecker’s performance descales and unscales the technological processes at the core of their collaborative practices.

With friendly support by Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung and Culture Ireland.

The performance night is a cooperation between transmediale and CTM Festival. The evening event is separately ticketed and not included in the transmediale or CTM Festival Passes.

Jennifer Walshe composer and performer she was born in Dublin, Ireland. Her music has been commissioned, broadcast and performed all over the world. She has been the recipient of fellowships and prizes from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, New York, the DAAD Berliner Künstlerprogramm, the Internationales Musikinstitut, Darmstadt and Akademie Schloss Solitude, among others.
Jon Leidecker (aka Wobbly) is a human in the loop, improvising with people and machines that listen. His work with sampling and feedback blurs any easy distinction between his solo and collaborative work, including touring and recording with Negativland, the Thurston Moore Group, Jennifer Walshe, Zoh Amba, Dieter Moebius & Tim Story, Matmos, People Like Us, Fred Frith and Huun-Huur-Tu, among others.
