Daniel Cid

Daniel Cid is Associate Professor of Design Studies at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton. His research moves between collaborative design practices and design theory. An example of this is Zero Flat (2017–2024), a new type of apartment for chronically homeless persons with difficulties adapting to housing due to high levels of social exclusion. One of the most recent projects is Following the Fish, in collaboration with Top Manta, presented at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2023). He reflects on the politics and poetics of inhabiting through literary essays and fiction.
