Geoff Cox is Reader in Fine Art at Plymouth University (UK) and Associate Professor in the School of Communication and Culture, Aarhus University (DK), currently engaged on the 3 year research project “The Contemporary Condition” funded by the Danish Council for Independent Research (with Jacob Lund). As part of this, he recently published (also with Jacob Lund) The Contemporary Condition: Introductory Thoughts on Contemporaneity and Contemporary Art, the first in a new series of small co-edited books published by Sternberg Press. With Christian Ulrik Andersen, he co-runs a yearly workshop/publication in collaboration with transmediale and is co-editor of the associated open access online journal APRJA. With Alex McLean, he wrote Speaking Code: coding as aesthetic and political expression (MIT Press 2013), and amongst other things is currently working on a multi-authored book project about live coding.
