Johnson & Jeison is a creative duo composed of Juan Manuel Parra Chaparro (1995, Colombia) and Sebastián Mira (1994, Colombia). Their practice delves into the imaginaries and stereotypes of Latin pop-culture and the various ways these are represented online. Their interests include construction work (albañilería), video games, cryptocurrencies, and rural life. They co-direct VIRREINA, an online exhibition and onsite residency space that addresses the relationship between the rural and the virtual in contemporary artistic practices. Their work has been exhibited in Lima, Bogotá, New York, Singapore, Rotterdam, Chicago, Medellín, São Paulo, and across the internet.
