Sahej Rahal
Sahej Rahal is primarily a storyteller. He weaves together fact and fiction to create counter-mythologies, interrogating the narratives that form the present. This myth-world takes the shape of sculptures, performances, films, paintings, installations, and AI programs, which he creates by drawing on diverse sources; from local legends to science fiction. By bringing divergent practices into dialogue, Rahal creates scenarios where indeterminate beings emerge from the cracks in our civilization. Sahej Rahal is currently a fellow at the Human-Machine-programme at the YOUNG ACADEMY in cooperation with the artist-in-residence-programme VISIT by the E.ON foundation.
