Applications are now open to a new residency programme between Beta festival in Dublin and transmediale in Berlin. The two-month residency is open to four artists and will take place in Berlin, Dublin, and online between September and November 2023. Each resident will be awarded an artist fee of €4,000 and a production budget of €1,500.

Residency Conditions
The call is open to artists working with digital technology from/based in Germany, and from/based in Ireland. The two-month hybrid residency will take place online, in Dublin and Berlin between October and November. Accepted candidates are required to use the residency in its full length within this timeframe.
Online: October 2–15
Dublin: October 16–November 5
Berlin: November 6–26
Each resident will be provided with a fee of €4,000, a production budget of €1,500, and travel and accommodation to Berlin and Dublin. Selected residents will present their project during Beta festival in Dublin (November) and transmediale festival in Berlin (February).
In Dublin, residents will have access to a shared working space at The Digital Hub/Beta Festival in Dublin. In Berlin, the residency takes place at transmediale studio, a shared working space with the capacity to produce small scale works, presentations, and events. Residents will have access to spaces for fabrication and production where necessary. During the residency, residents will engage with both the festival's artistic directors and curatorial teams.

Residents will be selected by a jury of Nora O Murchú, artistic director of transmediale, Aisling Murray, artistic director of Beta festival, Sheena Barrett, Head of Research & Learning at IMMA, and Tomke Braun, curator and researcher at 3hd festival.
